FAQ

Does the widget slow my pages down?

No. The script loads in the background (async or type="module"), so your page shows and works before it runs. The size finder itself loads only when a shopper clicks the button.

How do I see which products and returns were imported?

In the back-office, Catalogue › Products lists every imported product with its sizes and size chart. Each product also shows its orders and returns.

How do I know the setup works?

Follow Step 4: Verify.

The button does not show. What now?

Follow Widget not showing, check by check.

Can I use FitMyType in a mobile app?

Yes, in a web view of your product page: the widget works like on your site. Add the app's domain to your shop domains, and set channel to app so your dashboards can tell the two apart.

Can I test on a site that is not live yet?

Yes. Add the test domain (for example your staging site or the Shopify theme preview) to your shop domains in the back-office. Remove it when you go live.

Does it work on a password-protected shop?

Yes. The widget runs in the shopper's browser, so it works wherever the shopper can see the page. FitMyType reads your catalogue from your platform, not from your pages.

What is stored in the shopper's browser?

No cookie is set.

What does the widget load from the shopper's browser?

Your Content-Security-Policy must allow these hosts: see Content-Security-Policy.

My checkout is on another domain. Does tracking still work?

The tracking id is kept per domain. On a checkout on another domain, orders still arrive but without the id that links them to the visit. Shopify's checkout is covered by the pixel, which reads the id for you.

What if I move to another shop platform?

Keep the same product references if you can: FitMyType then keeps your history. If the references change, tell your FitMyType contact before you move, so the old and new products are matched.

How is shoppers' privacy protected?

FitMyType sends no event before analytics consent, sends no body measurements in events, and keeps all data in the EU. The full notice is the shopper privacy notice, linked at the bottom of every page.
